EN: Something quick for this afternoon. A nude french manicure with a contrast colour.
I used OPI Tickle My France-y and a black nailpolish by Flormar.
What do you think? Isn't this classy?
EN: Hi there! I'm back with a quick look I did a few nights ago. I wanted to try out the cut-crease look and here's what I came up with. I know the liner is a little bit shaky and not perfect, but I've always had a problem with that and I'm trying to improve my methods. On my lips I tried to do a "just bitten" look with a lip stain, what do you think? Did I nail it? Also, I edited the last photos to help you see how this would look with blue, green and dark-coloured eyes. Can't wait to hear your opinion on my little experiment!
RO: Buna, dragelor!
I'm back with a load of swatches and photos for you. Since it's the first time I'm ever using OPI nail polishes I'll share with you my first impressions. Best of the Best is a set consisting of
10 mini nail polishes (3.75 ml each) which costs £27.50. The first row is made of light colours and the second one has darker colours.
Some of them were incredibly easy to apply and pigmented (Strawberry Margarita, Cajun Shrimp), others were a total mess: the first coat of some of the polishes(Alpine Snow, You don't know Jacques) was disastrous, streaky and uneven; however some of them turned out to be amazing colours with the second coat (Russian Navy, You Don't Know Jacques, Lincoln Park After Dark) while others remained a mess (yes Alpine Snow, I'm looking at you).
However I don't mind that, I wasn't going to use Alpine Snow on its own anyway. I think it's perfect for a classic french manicure if paired with Bubble Bath or Tickle My France-y.
The brush is pretty small so it can be quite a hassle applying this. Not to mention the fact that these are so small it's hard for me to grasp them and make sure I don't drop one on the floor.
Even so, I thinks sets like this are a good way of finding new colours and experimenting with nail polishes. My favourites are: Tickle My France-y, You Don't Know Jacques, Big Apple Red and Lincoln Park After Dark.
